1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Cookies are widely used by website owners to make their websites work, or to work more efficiently, as well as to provide reporting information.
Cookies set by the website owner (in this case, ReAlign) are called "first-party cookies." Cookies set by parties other than the website owner are called "third-party cookies."
2. How We Use Cookies
ReAlign uses a minimal set of cookies that are strictly necessary for the platform to function. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies.
3. Cookies We Use
Essential Cookies (Strictly Necessary)
These cookies are required for ReAlign to function. They handle authentication, maintain your session, and ensure security. They cannot be disabled without breaking the application.
What we use:
- Session token — Keeps you logged in and identifies your account securely using a JWT (JSON Web Token).
- Tenant context — Ensures your requests are routed to the correct organization workspace.
- CSRF protection — Prevents cross-site request forgery attacks.
Functionality Cookies
These cookies remember your preferences to provide a better user experience. They are stored in your browser's local storage rather than as traditional cookies.
What we use:
- Theme preference — Remembers your dark/light mode selection.
- Onboarding state — Tracks whether you have completed the welcome wizard so it is not shown again.
4. What We Don't Use
ReAlign does not use:
- Third-party analytics cookies (e.g., Google Analytics)
- Advertising or retargeting cookies
- Social media tracking pixels
- Any cookies that track you across other websites
5. Managing Cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings. However, disabling essential cookies will prevent you from logging in to ReAlign.
Browser-Specific Instructions
You can manage cookies through your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Cookies and website data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data
